Darkode Shutdown: FireEye Intern Accused Of Creating $65,000 Android Malware

A former FireEye intern was the creator of an Android malware selling for as much as $65,000 on the Darkode forum, which was shut down today, according to US prosecutors. The 20-year-old Carnegie Mellon student appears to have been working at FireEye whilst he was developing and disseminating the Dendroid tool, which stole all kinds of data from victims' smartphones.
