Millennial employees are a generation that does not mind traveling for work. According to a report published by Expedia, professionals between the ages of 18 and 30 average five business trips per year compared to just two for employees over the age of 35. These younger travelers are looking for different experiences than their boomer or gen X counterparts. For a millennial, traveling for business is an opportunity to live the good life. Typically when traveling, millennials will turn to budget accommodations (think Airbnb) and plan their trip with a price point in mind. However, when they are traveling on their company’s dime, millennials feel the urge to live the good life and look to travel brands to provide them with that life.
