Think You're A Risk-Taker? Try Marrying An Entrepreneur
I hurried down the stairs to answer the doorbell, as quickly as I could, given that I was nine months pregnant. As I opened the door, I was met by a man looking sheepishly at my heaving stomach. “I’m the bailiff with a letter for Mr. Crawford” he said. Having not the slightest clue what a bailiff was, I invited him in. He promptly refused, handed me the letter and was on his way. I closed the door and anxiously consulted the Merriam-Webster dictionary: a bailiff is “someone hired by a sheriff to bring legal documents to people and to take away possessions when people cannot pay for them”. That was the day I was baptized ‘the entrepreneur’s recruit’.
