To be clear from the start, Chicago suffers from a strain of the same thing that affects most large metropolitan areas that, outwardly or not, lament their tech shortcomings. In short, Chicago is not the Bay Area. It doesn't possess the inherent supply of technical and able-to-execute talent that exists
