Syrian refugees could fill a gap for Berlin startups. Developers in Berlin’s entrepreneurial ecosystem are a hot commodity. The imbalance of supply and demand is great for programmers, who have high earning power, not so great for startups, who often can’t afford the most skilled developers. The need for more technical talent is what inspired three Berlin-based entrepreneurs to come up with Refugees on Rails, a coding school teaching refugees Ruby on Rails.
