The Number One Way To Keep Employees Engaged
I believe that most employees are engaged when they start working at an organization. They are excited to be there, are eager to make an impact, and are ready to contribute and put their skills to good use. Humans have a general desire to move forward and are in a state of perpetual motion, they don't show up disengaged, they are made that way. In fact, most organizations today have become "disengagement factories" that take employees and break them down. This creates a cycle whereby employees start off being happy and engaged, become unhappy, then organizations find themselves trying to figure out ways to boost their engagement with things like perks and benefits. The cycle then begins again.
