Illinois Facial Recognition Law Leads To Wave Of Class Actions Against Facebook, Others

The statute regulating the ways in which a person?s biometric identifiers can be used is now being used to attack such heavyweights as Facebook, Google and Snapchat over their tagging of photos. Privacy advocates believe it could pave the way for similar protection acts in the future elsewhere, while others question whether it's making the state a haven for a new form of enterprising litigation.
