Food allergies are on the rise in the U.S and worldwide. Peanut allergy is one of the most common food allergies in children and adults. A 2010 study in the Journal of Allergy and Clinical Immunology found that the number of children in the US with a peanut allergy more than tripled between 1997 and 2008.
