Why Do Good Entrepreneurs Lose Themselves To Bad Decisions? Insecurity Is Often To Blame

There’s a common perception of entrepreneurs as bold, brash, and exceedingly confident individuals. This belief is so common, in fact, that entrepreneurs themselves often buy into it. Fledgling founders think that they have to emulate fictionalized Mark Zuckerberg in The Social Network, or recreate the exploits of a young Steve Jobs to be taken seriously. They’re taught to never show fear, focus on their “personal brands” and always be the smartest person in the room.
