Thunderstrike 2: Remote Attacks Can Now Install Super Stealth 'Firmworm' Backdoors On Apple Macs

For the first time, researchers prove it's possible to infect Macs at the lowest possible level from afar, making incredibly stealthy malware a worrying reality for Apple fans. Not only would such bootkits be incredibly difficult to remove or detect, but Apple has chosen to ignore best practice advice from its chipmaker partner Intel that might have prevent future attacks.
